I'm back again on the blog sharing a super easy way to stretctch your coverplate dies.
I love when you can get more uses out of your dies, specially the coverplate dies. I tend to use them to do the dry emboss technique or trimming them. For today's card I used the Dotted Lattice Coverplate die and the Enlogatted Lattice Coverplate die.
For my first project I wanted to use the Delicate Rosebuds Hot Foil with the Dotted Lattice Coverplate die.
I die cut a panel out of white cardstock using this coverplate die and taped it to an A2 panel with washi tape. I repeated this step twice. Then I applied Sage and Sheer Fressia using blending brushes. Next up I cut out one of the panels with the Rounded & Braided rectangles die, add some foam adhesive and mounted it again on top of the other inked panel so I had some extra volume and a continuous design.
Next up I applied Sage, Eucalyptus and Lush Forest to the leaves and Soft Lilac,  Sheer Fressia, Wisteria and Opulence to the buds.
I inked up two panels since I wanted to add another bud. Once I cut it out with the coordinating die I decided to die cut a piece of Gold Glitter Cardstock and adhered it to my Rosebud image offsetting it a bit.
Finally I added some Metallic Silver Pearls and foam mounted sentiment from the same set.
Using the same technique I created another design:
For this project I used Sunkissed and Soft Lilac to color my background using the Enlogatted Lattice Coverplate die as a stencil and cut it out with the Spiral Circle Die. Next up I foam mounted this circle piece on top and adhered the Nothing But the best flower set. I colored this set with the same Sunkissed and Soft Lilac inks mixing them with Coral Reef and Peony. Finally I silver heat embossed the sentiment from this same set.
As a final touch I glued a small butterfly hot foiled in silver onto vellum.
