Hello again friends!
I'm bringing in some colorful geometric inspiration today using the new Pinkfresh Studio Floral Frames. These three sets of Press Plates are so easy to color and perfect for note cards you can add to your handmade gifts.
This is the idea I had in mind when I created these square tags. I wanted to showcase these three new plates: Floral Square Frame Press Plate, Floral Octagon Frame Press Plate and Floral Round Frame Press Plate.
I started out stamping all three plates in my Betterpress using Spellbinders Bisque Cotton cardstock and Black ink.
I love the creamy tone of this cardstock and of course the fact that you get an amazing impression that is not really visible in the photos. I decided to color these frames using Polychromos color pencis. For this round frame design I used 153, 156 and 154 for the leaves and 127, 124 and 121 for the flowers.
Once I finished coloring, I cut it out using the coordinating die and foam mounted it onto one of the Folk Edge Square dies. For the base of this tag I used some navy cardsock and added some white turquoise ribbon. For my sentiment I used one of the new My Favorite Things Sentiments Plates which I inked up using Turquoise ink. Lastly, I added some greenery using the Curvy Foliage Die.
For the Floral Octogon Frame Press Plate I used 264, 276 and 161 Polychromos color pencils and Raspberry Bliss ink for my sentiment. I also added some greenery and the Folk Square die to cut out my front panel.
I followed the same process to create this Floral Square design: I used 267, 266 and 171 Polychromos Color pencils for the leaves and 151, 110 and 145 for the flowers. For the sentiment I also used one of the sentiments from the My favorite Things Press Plates set using Blue Jay ink.
