Pinkfresh Studio Calico White Pigment Ink with Fall Foliage Stencils

Hi Pinkfresh friends!

I'm back again on the blog with an oldie but goodie technique using the new Calico White Pigment ink on kraft cardstock.

My idea was to create a bunch of colorful leaves so I decided to use the Fall Foliage Stencils as I could create plenty of leaves in no time. I started my projects by applying the Calico White pigment ink onto some kraft cardsock.

Next up I dried this ink using my heat gun to make sure it was dried before applying Pinkfresh dye inks on top.

I chose a bunch of colors from the latest Ink release and some older colors: Citron, Bay Leaf, Mimosa, Mango Sorbet, Cherry Blossom, Peony, Begonia, Sage, Eucaliptus, Spruce Tips, Waterfall, Turquoise, Paradise, Bubble Gum , Raspberry Bliss, Key Lime, Olive, Candy Violet and Regal Kiss.

I inked up several panels so I had plenty of colorful leaves to play with. I used the coordinating die to cut out all my leaves and created several arrangements.

I love to add lots of dimension to my designs, so after arranging some leaves in a semi circular shape I thought I'd use the Fancy Circle dies so I could adhere my leaves on top. I inked up these circles using the Waterfall Dye ink and glued them together. Next up I added some foam adhesive on the back and placed them onto a hot foil panel with the Overlapping Geo Leaf.

To add some extra texture I went ahead and heat embossed an A2 panel with the Delicate Floral Print Cling stamp using Wow White Pearl embossing powder. I used the Rectangle Folk Edge dies to cut out this panel and adhered it onto a A2 turquiose card base. I tucked some small leaves cut out of white and dark green cardstock with the Garden Wreath Die.

Lastly I placed of the sentiments from the set Wonderful Sentiment Hot foil in the center of the card offset a little bit to the right side and added some Ombre Glitter Drops here and there for some shine.

Since I had so many leaves, I was able to create to more projects:

I created the background of this design by heat embossing the Delicate Floral Print Cling stamp in Wow Pearl White embossing powder. Next up I stacked the Braided Oval dies on top and arranged the leaves trying to create some movement. I also tucked some additional leaves from the Garden Wreath die set in dark green and white cardstock for some dimension. Lastly I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Thanks for Being there set on dark cardstock.

For my last project I used the birdcage from the Best Things die set cutting out several pieces out of white cardstock and white glitter cardstock and gluing them together. I arranged the leaves in rainbow order adhering some aditional leaves cut out of mate gold cardstock.

I hope you find these ideas inspiring and encourage you to use the new Calico White ink .

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Crafty hugs!

Raquel
