Overlapping Triangles

Hello again friends!

I'm back on the blog sharing a very easy way to combine the new Overlapping Triangles Stencil set with a stamp set. I decided to create a project with the Thanks for Being There set but any stamp would work.

I started my project stamping the image with Misty Coast ink, this way I can be sure that once I finish my ink blending I can stamp the image again with Detail Black Ink and it will be super crisp.

Instead of choosing just one color for the petals and another one for the leaves, I thought it would be fun to mix several colors.

I must admit I tend to use too many colors on my projects but that's something I always think about once the project is done, never behorehand. So, once again, I let myself go and used Passion Fruit, Candy Apple, Raspberry Bliss and Candy Violet for the petals and Key Lime and Olive for the leaves.

I overlapped the colors as I was applying them, it's just a fun way to add color to your flowers. Once the image was colored, I stamped it again with Detail Black Ink and die cut it using the coordinating dies. Since I was ink blending, I repeated the process and inked another set of blooms so I had two images ready to use.

Next up I used the Overlapping Triangles Stencil set and ink blend another panel using again Candy Apple and Candy Violet. I skipped Olive and added Sweet Mustard. One thing I had in mind was to use a mini slimline die, so I cut out the stenciled panel to 3 x 6 inches. Then I trimmed the image so I could frame my card with the them using the Mini Slimline Frame dies.

I recorded a super simple reel showing the process but it's all very straight forward.

I arranged my flowers at the top and on the left of the card and added some greenery using the Leafy Branch Die with glitter cardstock.

My sentiment is from the Wonderful Sentiment Stamp which I embossed with silver glitter embossing powder.

Using the same design and stamp, I made a couple of cards changing the colors. I had the images already colored so I thought I'd turn them into cards.

For this project I added some depth using the new Secret Garden die combining again the colors of the flowers with the Triangles on the background.

On this project, I just framed my floral with the Nesting Hexagons Hot Foil.

I hope I gave you some ideas to combine these two sets.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Happy crafting!

Raquel
