Hello again friends! I'm back with some more colorful projects I'd like to share with you:
Fall is just around the corner so I wanted to create some projects with leaves and lots of colors.
I really love the Foliage shaker dies, I've used them so many times already and I find myself going back to these beauties all the time. There are so many ways to add color to your leaves... the easiest way is probably to use colored cardstock but for some reason I always prefer to ink blend my white die cut pieces.
I went ahead and die cut 8 leaves out of white cardstock and ink blended them using Regal Kiss and Candy Violet; Raspberry Bliss and Passion Fruit; Clementine and Marigold, Sunshine and Lemon Whip, Key Lime and Fresh Pear, Meadow, Aquamarine and Tidal Pond.
I added some splatters of white perlescent watercolor and sprayed them with a mix of water and perfect pearls. Asembling this card was really easy:
I used the Spiral Circle Die to add some texture to my background. I also used the Art Deco Frame Die to create extra dimension. I cut out half of this frame and foam mounted it onto my Spiral Circle panel. Next up I just placed my leaves in rainbow order and arranged them in a way they covered part of my A2 panel. Once I was happy with the placement I used Press and Seal to turn them around so I could add foam adhesive. Then I placed them onto the panel again and used a sentiment from one of my favorite sets: Wonderful Sentiments.
This is a very easy to make project. You can customize your leaves and use any other background die to arrange them or add dimension.
Since I had all my brushes and inks on the table I ink blended some more leaves and created a couple of extra designs:
For this project I used Gold Matte Cardstock on some of my leaves and left the rest without the outline diecut. I added some Hot Foil Delicate Rosebuds in vellum and for my background I used the Floral Backdrop Coverplate die.
For my last project I ink blended the leaves mixing shades of Candy Violet and Candy Apple, Raspberry bliss and Candy Violet; Candy Apple and Sweet Mustard.
For my background I used the Slim Lacy Edgers and the Secret Garden Die in white for some dimension.
